Sustainabilty

NEXUS Manufacturing Sustainability at Vision Manufacturing BPC is based on three pilars.

Social sustainability

As part of our corporate social responsibility, we want to make a difference in people’s lives.
We strongly believe in an inclusive society and, for instance, have supported the inclusion of people with mental disabilities through sport.

When selecting raw materials, we tend to favour those suppliers that work actively together with local people and have programs in place to fight poverty and promote education.

In addition, suppliers are required to comply with environmental and social standards based on the Conventions of the International Labour
Organisation (ILO), the UN Declaration of Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

Product-related sustainability

A great deal of attention is paid to the selection of packaging materials with the aim of improving their recyclability or the use of recycled materials (PCR) or sugarcane. As for raw materials, apart from our social engagement, we tend to be early adopters anticipating bans on microplastics or avoiding any materials that are obtained by highly polluting methods.

Production-related sustainability

Our manufacturing plant has made great efforts to reduce its energy use and its carbon footprint. It also has it is own biological water purification system. Employees are actively encouraged to carpool or to cycle to work and to participate in local projects targeting amongst other road waste.
